Since 1987 Hans Platzgumer released dozens of records
under his own name or various synonyms. Ranging from lo-fi-punk to elaborate
digital electronica through the years, they all have one thing in common
which is their uncompromising musical statement to current affairs.
Hans' first soloalbum 'Tod Der CD' was one of the first lo-fi indie
albums at its time and became a sought-after cult-classic. After working
with bands like HP ZINKER, KÖB or DIE GOLDENEN ZITRONEN he returned
in 1996 with his freestyle electronic album 'AURA ANTHROPICA',
combining smooth triphop with harsh lyrics against specific politic circumstances.
German techno-label DISKO B released his tek-house albums DER SEPERATOR
and FINGERFOOD, which provided adequate recipes with its funky
tracks.
2000 saw the release of his masterpiece 'DATACARD', a dark hybrid
of slamming breakbeats and scary ambient.
His 2001 soloalbum 'DENIAL OF SERVICE' (Disko B/Seperator/HeimelektroUlm)
still is highly acclaimed and
transports the spirit of 1970ties jazzrock to the most digital 21st century.
In 2002 his record 'MISS
ME' in collabaration with Catriona Shaw (DOXA
Records)
featured melodic synthetic popmusic blended with crafty breakbeats and
reached massive radio airplay and various underground charts.
In the same year DOXA and ECHOKAMMER released his electroid dancefloor-pop
CD 'SOFTWARE',
a compilation of remixes, rarities and new collaborations.
After that HP stayed busy with new projects and releases as CONVERTIBLE,
QUEEN OF JAPAN, SHINTO, HP.STONJI or E:GUM
as well as various soundtrack
works, and paused his HANS PLATZGUMER ego.
In 2005 Skarabaeus published his first book 'EXPEDITION', a novel that deals with
the adventures and reflections of an underground musician.
Simultaneously an anthology doubleCD 'EXPEDITION 87-04' containing 41
tracks of his erratic career was released.

2006 finally saw a new "Hans Platzgumer" release: a limited
10" record entitled 'LEMNISKATE' on MedienKulturTirol/Soul Seduction,
where HP collaborated with 12 fellow artists and produced mostly endless vinyl
grooves.

In october 2008 a CD compilation called 'Hans Platzgumer: Musiken Fuer Theater' (featuring 6 recent theatre soundtracks) was released on Konkord.

February 2009 saw the ultimate Hans Platzgumer CD-release 'Soundtrack' (Konkord Records),
a collaboration with 23 international artists who visualised HP's 66-minute score to a movie that only exists in the head of its listener.
The CD is sheduled as hp's final release on Compact Disc, followed merely by releases as downloads, usb sticks and on vinyl.

2010, 2011 and 2013 Aura Anthropica released a trilogy,
three EPs MORKETIDEN, NOCTURNAL LOW and TE HENGA,
which are now available as a full feature digital album:

In April 2015 hp releases his last CD album MINIATUREN, consisting of 20 short instrumentals:
